Description
I'm not sure in which one or ones among the rapids, but there are places where there are old timbers embedded at the toe of the river banks or the waterline of islands midstream. Embedded in many of those timbers wre large metal spikes. Generally there is no reason they should cause any problem to a passing paddler in their boat. However, if (for any reason) you would flip and/or be out of your boat, they could be a concern.
