Put In rapid on the Pine River is a relatively mild entry point for the section, with minimal technical challenges and smooth water flow. Paddlers should be aware of potential submerged logs or rocks near the entry point, and maintain a clean line through the initial stretch. While not a particularly demanding rapid, standard river navigation skills and attentiveness to the surrounding environment are recommended.
