Description

Hurricane Helene totally remade Quarter-mile into a shorter steeper rapid. Approaching the rapid a horizon line is very obvious. Eddy out to scout or portage on the left. The top drop is a powerful 3-5 foot vertical ledge that can be run far left or center. At medium and higher flows a sneak opens up on the far right of the river that bypasses the ledge. The second drop can either be run down a relatively easy far left slide or it can be run right of the boulder for a juicy left to right curler ride.
