Description

Rapid 10 comes in quick succession after the previous rapid and features a big wave at low water that is fun surfing for the kayakers and a good hit for rafts. There are some good camps in this area. The Upper X/Y Canyon R Camp is between Rapid 9 and 10, Middle X/Y Canyon R is at the top of Rapid 10, and Lower X/Y Canyon R is adjacent to this surf wave in Rapid 10. A relatively calm stretch of river follows Rapid 10 before the actions starts to pick up again about 3 miles downstream.
