Description

The Boulder Alley presents a technical navigation challenge with its dense field of large, irregularly placed granite boulders creating a complex maze-like descent. Paddlers must carefully select their line, using precise maneuvers to thread between and around massive mid-stream rocks that can create unpredictable hydraulics and potential pinning hazards. Water levels significantly impact the rapid's character, with lower flows exposing more boulder features and requiring more strategic route-finding, while higher water can smooth out some obstacles but increase overall current speed and complexity.
