About This Access Site
This public boat ramp in Amery provides convenient access to the Apple River Flowage, a 604-acre lake in Polk County. The ramp is located on a street one block north of the ATV trail head, making it easy to find and access. The Apple River Flowage has a maximum depth of 18 feet and offers good fishing opportunities, particularly between Lions Park and the dam area where anglers report success with bass, pike, and musky.

For paddlers and boaters, note that there is an additional dock facility on the north side of the Amery Dam, and an easy access portage is available on the east side of the dam for those looking to explore other sections of the river. The flowage's moderate size and depth make it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorboats. This is a solid launch point for exploring the Apple River system in the Amery area.
