The Bofinger Conservation Area offers convenient public access to the Androscoggin River in Dummer, NH, located approximately half a mile north of the Milan town line on Route 16. This multi-use facility serves paddlers and boaters traveling the scenic 13 Mile Woods section of the river, with ample parking available at the launch. The site also functions as a wildlife management area, making it a good spot to observe deer, bear, migratory waterfowl, and various songbirds alongside your paddling experience.
Seasonal restroom facilities are available at the site. The Androscoggin River in this section is navigable by canoe, kayak, and boat from below Pontook Dam downstream to Berlin, with Bofinger providing excellent access to this popular paddling corridor. The area's shrub and forest habitat reflects the natural character of the region, and paddlers can expect a river experience that combines recreation with wildlife viewing opportunities.
