About This Access Site
Bull Bend Campground offers a convenient boat launch on the Deschutes River just below Wickiup Reservoir Dam, located on a scenic peninsula near La Pine. The site features a wide boat ramp capable of accommodating multiple watercraft simultaneously, making it ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and non-motorized boaters. Note that **motorized boating is prohibited** on this section of the river. The campground is reservable through Recreation.gov (541-323-1746) and provides day-use access with picnic tables and restroom facilities.

The location is well-suited for anglers and paddlers seeking a productive fishing or paddling experience. Large campsites accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents, and the surrounding landscape offers excellent river access along the banks. Nearby recreation areas include Wickiup Reservoir and Crane Prairie Reservoir, both offering additional paddling and fishing opportunities. From Bend, take Highway 97 south for 26.8 miles to Wickiup Junction, then County Road 43 west for 10.5 miles before following local roads to the campground entrance.
