About This Access Site
The Dorey Drive launch in Canton provides convenient mid-river access to the Riley Impoundment, a popular reach for smallmouth bass fishing and recreational paddling. Located on the north side of the river, this site fills an important gap between the Riley Dam upstream and Harvey Brook downstream, making it ideal for day trips or shuttle runs along this section of the Androscoggin.

**Launch and Take-Out Tips:** This access point works well as either a put-in or take-out depending on your trip. If using it as a take-out when paddling downstream toward the Pejepscot Dam, stay to the right side of the river and paddle through the slot in the barrier on the far right. From there, you can haul your boat up over the rocks and grass to reach your vehicle. The launch area is accessible from Dorey Drive in Canton, with parking available for boat trailers.
