About This Access Site
The Dunham access site on the Androscoggin River offers both trailered boat launch and hand-carry options for kayakers and canoeists. Located in Durham, Androscoggin County, this site features a dedicated boat ramp and parking area at the property's east end, with an additional hand-carry launch on the western side for those with smaller craft. The surrounding landscape includes forested uplands and wetland areas managed for wildlife habitat.

When paddling this section of the Androscoggin, be aware that the takeout near the Pejepscot Dam requires careful maneuvering—stay to the right side of the river as you approach the dam and paddle through the slot in the barrier on the far right before hauling out. This site provides convenient access to a productive river corridor with good wildlife viewing opportunities. For additional launch options and detailed information about Androscoggin Riverlands State Park, contact local recreation resources or check the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife website.
