About This Access Site
The Euharlee Road boat ramp provides access to the Etowah River, a large, headwater stream in northwest Georgia. The Etowah flows for over 164 miles, dropping nearly 800 feet in elevation as it makes its way to the Coosa River. At this access point, paddlers and boaters can expect a medium-sized river with an average flow of around 3,200 cubic feet per second and a gradient of nearly 12 feet per mile.

This site features a boat ramp, as well as a semi-private campground on the adjacent private property. When the nearby dam is not releasing water, the Etowah is typically a slow, docile river, but flows can double in speed during dam releases. Paddlers are advised to call the dam operations center ahead of time to check current conditions before launching.

For those looking to explore this stretch of the Etowah, the Euharlee Road access provides a convenient put-in point, with the next take-out located about 9 miles downstream at the boat ramp on Highway 411. Whether you're planning a quick paddle or a more extended river trip, the Euharlee Road boat ramp is an important access site along this scenic Georgia waterway.
