Hines Park in Park Falls offers a well-developed access point to the Flambeau River with a dedicated boat ramp suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. The park features 25 rustic campsites (with both tent and RV accommodations), vault toilets, drinking water, and an open-air shelter. Additional amenities include two fishing piers, a playground, and basketball courts, making it a convenient basecamp for multi-day paddling trips.
For paddlers planning routes, Hines Park serves as a key waypoint on the Flambeau River. The stretch from Blanchard's Landing to Hines Park covers 1.4 miles of mostly quiet flowage paddling, while the downstream section from Hines Park to the Park Falls Boat Ramp extends 2.6 miles. The river system offers multiple access points at landings and road crossings along Flambeau River Road. Local outfitters are available for canoe and kayak rentals, shuttle services, and guided trips if needed.
**Note:** Campsites require a fee; some sites can be reserved while others are first-come, first-served. Restrooms are available during summer months only. Plan ahead for water and sewer hookups if bringing an RV.
