About This Access Site
Ivan Crawford Landing provides carry-in and boat ramp access to the Big Fork River near Littlefork in Koochiching County. This site is ideal for launching kayaks, canoes, and smaller motorboats onto the river. The landing is conveniently located adjacent to State Highway 6 and County Road 14, making it easy to find and access. The Big Fork River in this area supports northern pike, walleye, and musky, making it popular for both paddling and fishing.

This access point works well as either a put-in or take-out for river floats. The Ivan Crawford Landing is situated at river mile 8.1 and marks the lower end of popular float trips from upstream locations like the County Road 1 Bridge (RM 19.0), which is approximately 10.9 miles upstream. Paddlers can expect a scenic river experience in northeastern Minnesota's lake country. As with all Minnesota public water accesses, the site is open 24 hours unless posted otherwise and accommodates both trailer launches and hand-carried watercraft.
