Moulton Park offers a concrete boat ramp for easy access to the Shenandoah River near Charles Town. The facility includes ample parking, a gravel lot near the camping and picnic areas, and shoreline fishing opportunities. The park sits on a half-mile stretch of river frontage just north of the Bloomery Bridge and is maintained by Jefferson County Parks & Recreation for public boating and fishing access.
The park features newly designed riverfront campsites available by reservation (contact Jefferson County Parks & Rec at 304-728-3207). Note that there is no beach area and wading conditions are not ideal at this location. The well-shaded, quiet setting makes it a pleasant spot for launching kayaks and canoes onto the Shenandoah River. Nearby attractions include Harpers Ferry National Historical Park at the confluence of the Shenandoah and Potomac rivers, and Antietam National Battlefield is located about 23 miles away for those interested in exploring the region's historical sites.
