Norristown Riverfront Park

Norristown Riverfront Park offers a concrete boat ramp approximately 20 feet wide on the Schuylkill River in Montgomery County. The facility includes 42 parking spaces (12 handicap-accessible), seasonal porta-potties, and a picnic area with an accessible pavilion. A launch permit is required, and the park connects to the Schuylkill River Trail for additional exploration. The site is open dawn to dusk and serves as the home port for The Dragon Boat Club.

**Important Safety Note:** This launch marks one of two public ramps at the extreme ends of the navigable section on the Schuylkill River. Paddlers should exercise extreme caution—the Norristown Dam is located only 0.5 mile downstream and cannot be safely run. Plan your trip accordingly and be aware of river conditions. The Schuylkill River is a 128+ mile waterway, making this an excellent starting point for various paddling distances depending on your skill level and intended route.
