About This Access Site
Silver Creek Landing offers a paved public boat ramp providing convenient access to the McKenzie River near Vida. Located on Highway 126 approximately 0.8 miles east of mile marker 33 (between Hendricks Bridge and Finn Rock), the landing features a concrete ramp suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. There are no day-use fees, and the paved parking area provides easy vehicle access directly from the highway. Note that ADA-accessible facilities are not available at this site.

The landing provides access to the scenic McKenzie River corridor, a productive area for fishing and wildlife viewing. While the site experienced changes from 2020 wildfires—including the loss of interpretive panels and a footbridge—the boat ramp itself remains fully operational. This is a straightforward, no-frills access point ideal for paddlers looking to launch into the McKenzie River system. For current conditions or questions, contact the managing agency at 541-683-6600.
