About This Access Site
**Location & Facilities**
Sunset Park in Portage offers convenient public access to the Wisconsin River via two boat launch ramps located at the end of Florida Street. The site features a lighted parking lot and a small dock to assist with boat launching and loading. There are no transient docking facilities available. Access the park from Sunset Park Road (off Kimberly Avenue) or from Sunset Drive heading east at 300 Sunset Park Road.

**What to Expect**
This is a well-developed access point suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats on the Wisconsin River. The dual ramps accommodate multiple users, making it a practical choice for launching paddle craft or trailered boats. From here, paddlers can explore the scenic Wisconsin River and nearby Wisconsin River Islands, which offer additional recreation opportunities on public lands. The Fox River National Wildlife Refuge is also accessible in the region for those interested in exploring protected wetland and wildlife habitat.
