About This Access Site
Troy Access #1 provides a boat launch point on the Grande Ronde River near Enterprise in Wallowa County. This access is located in Troy, OR and serves as a popular put-in for paddlers and boaters looking to explore this scenic, wild river section. The launch area features a relatively wide ramp (approximately 20 feet) with two boat lanes and ample parking for vehicles with trailers, making it suitable for both kayaks and motorized boats.

The Grande Ronde River at this location offers quintessential Pacific Northwest whitewater and scenic float opportunities. Paddlers should be prepared for rapids in the immediate sections downstream—including notable features like the Minam Roller—and plan accordingly for their skill level. This access point works well for multi-day float trips, as it connects to various established river camps and take-outs further downstream. No reservations are required at this facility, though paddlers are encouraged to check current river conditions and plan shuttle arrangements before launching.
