From this access point, paddlers can navigate downstream through an area known for its impressive sandstone outcrops and natural beauty. The 2-mile stretch from Black Hawk Island to the Wisconsin Dells Dam offers scenic paddling before reaching the dam. Take-out options include the public ramp at Indiana Avenue or, if portaging is necessary, alternative launches downstream near Wisconsin Dells Parkway/Highway 12.
