There is a relatively new (circa 2021) access ramp at Eggleston under the Rt. 730 bridge on river left. Ramp and parking, but no toilet. Formerly folks drove upstream on the gravel road to a wide spot next to the river (you can still do that if you want an extra half-mile of river). To get there from Rt. 460, turn onto Rt. 730 at Maybrook. Cross the bridge over the New and take the first left, bearing left and crossing the railroad tracks. Then turn left and immediately right into the access area entrance.
From the Pembroke takeout, cross the bridge over the New on Rt. 623 (Rocky Hollow Rd.) At the stop sign at the top of the hill, turn left on Rt. 622 (Guinea Mt. Rd.) and take it all the way to the stop sign in front of the Palisades restaurant. Turn right, then right again on Rt. 730, then immediately left on 622/River Rd.
