**Status & Location:** Brogan's Landing is located approximately 7 miles north of Gardiner on the Yellowstone River in the Gallatin National Forest. Please note that this site was damaged by the 2022 floods and may have limited accessibility—check current Montana FWP closures and conditions before planning your trip.
**Launch & River Character:** When operational, this is a primitive sandy boat launch that drops into flat, deep water. Brogan's Landing provides access to excellent fly-fishing water featuring a cobble bed with quality dry-fly and nymphing habitat. The river features a deep, bouldery pinch around Mile 7.5 downstream, followed by flatter sections ideal for canoeists and recreational kayakers. This upper Yellowstone stretch typically has less outfitted commercial traffic due to Forest Service management restrictions.
**Planning Your Visit:** Several campgrounds are available within 10 miles, including Bear Creek Campground, Eagle Creek Campground (Custer Gallatin National Forest), and Mammoth Campground in Yellowstone National Park—all requiring reservations. Before launching, confirm the current status of this access point and check river flow conditions, as water levels and ramp conditions vary seasonally. The nearby Corwin Springs Bridge area offers an alternative casual put-in on the same premium fishing water.
