About This Access Site
Located 10 miles northeast of Buhl in Twin Falls County, Cedar Draw provides a developed boat launch for accessing the Snake River. The site features a boat ramp, parking, vault toilet facilities, and camping options, making it a convenient starting point for paddlers and boaters. Recent improvements include enhanced access roads, expanded parking, and shoreline stabilization.

The Snake River at this location is a major waterway with substantial flow—averaging nearly 50,000 cubic feet per second—and a moderate gradient of approximately 15.8 feet per mile. Paddlers should be prepared for swift current and significant water volume typical of this large river system. The proximity to Sawtooth National Forest adds scenic value to the area.

**Note:** Cedar Draw was closed for construction until early April (consult current conditions before visiting). As with all Snake River boating, paddlers must use designated launch points. Check with Idaho Fish and Game for current facility status, camping availability, and any seasonal restrictions before planning your trip.
