Colliding Rivers Boat Ramp provides convenient access to the North Umpqua River near Roseburg and is best known as a takeout point for floats originating from Lone Rock Boat Ramp upstream near Glide. This section of the river typically requires about 2.5 hours of paddling time (less for kayakers), making it a manageable half-day trip. The ramp is located along Highway 138 and offers easy vehicle and boat access at the confluence of the North Umpqua River and Little River—a unique geological feature where these waterways meet.
Beyond its function as a takeout point, Colliding Rivers County Park is a scenic spot to explore the dramatic landscape where two rivers collide. The location is part of the Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway corridor and offers opportunities to view this natural phenomenon. Nearby, the Swiftwater Day-Use Area and North Bank Habitat Management Area provide additional recreation options including fishing for steelhead, hiking, and biking. The site is well-situated for paddlers looking to experience a moderately-paced section of the North Umpqua Wild & Scenic River.
