The East Side boat ramp provides convenient access to the Peshtigo River at its mouth near Green Bay in Peshtigo, Marinette County. Located on the west side of the river, this small launch site offers paddlers and boaters direct access to over 3,200 acres of water within the Governor Earl Peshtigo River State Forest, including scenic river channels, backwaters, and flowages. The site is ideal for those looking to explore both the river system and nearby Green Bay waters.
To reach the ramp, take the Peshtigo Exit off Highway 41 at Schacht Road on the north side of town, then head south into Peshtigo on County Road B (East Front Street). Beyond the launch itself, a small rugged beach on the south and west side of the ramp offers scenic views of Green Bay and excellent bird-watching opportunities. This is a modest facility, but its location at the river mouth makes it a solid choice for accessing the broader Peshtigo River paddling system.
