About This Access Site
**Location & Access:** Fisherman's Loop is a year-round boat ramp on the Kalama River in Kalama, Cowlitz County. From I-5, take Kalama River Road 3.5 miles and turn right on a dirt road to reach the access area. The site features one parking lot but no ADA parking stalls. This is primarily a fishing and boating access point.

**Facilities & River Use:** The ramp provides vehicle-based launching for motorboats, kayaks, and canoes. For paddlers planning to visit downtown Kalama, note that the Marina (past the boat ramp) has a short-term and multi-day transient dock that offers a shorter walk to town than the ramp itself. The Kalama River in this section supports day floats for small motorboats and recreational paddling, though conditions vary seasonally. Paddlers should be aware that floating downstream toward I-5 requires significant time and effort for return trips.
