Gordon Dam Park is a well-maintained county access point on the Saint Croix River in Douglas County, Wisconsin. The ramp is approximately 20 feet wide and suitable for launching most types of watercraft. The park offers a dedicated canoe landing below the dam for direct Saint Croix River access, making it a convenient put-in for paddlers. Note that power loading is prohibited at all county boat launches to protect the ramp infrastructure.
The Saint Croix River at this location is part of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway and offers opportunities for fishing, boating, and paddling. This section of river is known for its scenic character, though paddlers should be aware that segments of this stretch can be larger and faster-moving. Gordon Dam Park itself is one of the better-maintained county parks in northern Wisconsin and serves as a hub for recreational users. A Douglas County Parks sticker is required for access; check reciprocity agreements if you hold a parks pass from another county.
