The Granger boat ramp provides a primary access point on the Lower Yakima River in Yakima County. The site features a single parking lot with six designated ADA accessible spaces and a pit toilet facility. Be aware that in winter conditions, the lot can ice over; you may need to use a rope to drag your boat up the ramp if necessary. There are no hand launch options or designated fishing platforms at this site.
This access point serves as a key put-in for floating the Lower Yakima, a broader, more substantial river section below the confluence with the Teanaway River. Plan for at least a full day of paddling (6+ hours minimum at a fishing pace) as the next takeout is approximately 12.3 miles downstream with limited alternative access options. Most quality fishing opportunities in this section are boat-accessible only. The site is open year-round, making it a reliable launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters exploring this section of the Yakima River.
