About This Access Site
The McClure Point boat ramp on Lake McClure provides convenient water access for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats. Located on the south end of the lake, this ramp offers a good launch point for exploring the scenic reservoir.

The ramp itself is concrete and suitable for launching a variety of small watercraft. Parking is available nearby, though it may be limited on busy days. Boaters should be aware that the ramp is currently closed from November 4-7, 2025 for maintenance. During this time, the Bagby main launch can be accessed via a dirt ramp extension.

Lake McClure is a sizable reservoir in the Sierra Nevada foothills, offering ample space for paddlers and motorized boaters to enjoy. The lake has a relatively calm character, making it well-suited for kayaking, canoeing, and recreational powerboating. Those seeking whitewater adventure can find it downstream on the Merced River Recreation Management Area.
