**Location & Facilities**
Mill Creek is a paved boat ramp located in Strattanville along the main stem of the Clarion River (River Mile 108.7E). The site offers good amenities including a paved launch, stone work construction, and ample parking with spaces for approximately a dozen trucks with trailers and two dozen cars. The access point provides convenient entry to several miles of scenic paddling.
**Paddling Conditions & Hazards**
Be aware of several navigational challenges on this section of the Clarion River: a low bridge clearance at Glen Hazel Road (RM 108.7E) requires scouting, and a stream-wide low-hanging cable at River Mile 104.5E demands caution. Additionally, a section from River Miles 103–102.5E near Johnsonburg is closed to public use where the river flows through the Domtar Mill. The main stem features Class I to I+ rapids that are navigable with advance scouting. This is a good put-in for paddlers comfortable with moderate water and willing to scout hazards ahead.
**Additional Recreation**
Beyond paddling, the area offers miles of hiking trails along the south shore of the Clarion River on Pennsylvania State Game Land 74, making this a versatile destination for outdoor recreation in scenic Clarion County.
