The NW Front Street boat ramp provides convenient access to the Peshtigo River in Peshtigo, Wisconsin. Located on the west side of the river near its mouth, this launch serves as a gateway to both the river system and Green Bay. To reach the ramp, take the Peshtigo Exit off Highway 41 and head south on County Road B (East Front Street) into town. The site features a small but rugged beach area to the south and west of the ramp, offering scenic views and good opportunities for birdwatching along the bay.
This location opens up extensive paddling and boating opportunities across the Peshtigo River's 3,200+ acre flowage system. Paddlers can explore scenic river passages, islands, and backwater areas that characterize this section of the Governor Earl Peshtigo River State Forest. Note that parking in the area is limited, so plan accordingly. Anglers and walkers also have additional access below the dam via Southeast Front Street near the City Garage, where a walking path follows the railroad right of way—a popular spot for fishing with its own limited parking.
