Whistlers Bend Park offers convenient access to the North Umpqua River near Glide, with a dedicated boat ramp suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The park features river access parking, restrooms, and day-use amenities including picnic sites, BBQ stands, and shaded areas under mature Douglas fir trees. This is a well-developed facility that serves as a popular launching point for fishing, swimming, and floating activities on the North Umpqua.

The North Umpqua River in this area is part of a 33.8-mile Wild & Scenic corridor, offering scenic paddling opportunities.
