Description
Crystal Rapid is a technical Class IV drop with a complex boulder garden that requires precise maneuvering between large, closely-spaced rocks and potential hydraulic features. Paddlers must nail a tight entry line on river right, then quickly transition to avoid a significant pourover rock in the center of the rapid that can create a dangerous hole at certain water levels. Successful navigation demands quick boat control, strong eddy turns, and the ability to read and react to shifting water dynamics.
