Description

The name pumphouse comes from the old building on the right from where the caretaker would open the dam gates to fill the pipeline that flows from there all the way through the gorge (Mainly on river right) into canon city. The pipeline was built from 1908 and 1910, it was a 7-mile long, 30-inch cedar pipe that supplied water to the city for many years. The pipeline was abandoned in 1973.

(Info is from 2200)  Another two part rapid, for the top bit just run center ish and try to keep the laterals from pushing you onto the old pumphouse. Second half start center then work center right unless you want a big hit in which case stay center to center left.
