Description
Staircase is a technical and consequential Class V drop characterized by a series of steep, ledge-like steps with powerful hydraulics and tight maneuvering. Paddlers must navigate a complex sequence of vertical falls and sharp-edged rock formations, with minimal margin for error and the constant threat of recirculating holes. Successful descent requires precise boat positioning, expert river reading skills, and the ability to make rapid, decisive moves in a high-consequence environment.
