About This Access Site
The Island boat ramp provides convenient access to the Lewis River near Woodland at River Mile 3. This single-lane ramp is suitable for kayaks, canoes, and small motorboats, with ample parking available in a large gravel lot. A Washington State Discover Pass is required ($10 daily or $30 annually, not available on-site), so plan ahead if you don't already have one.

The Lewis River in this area has minimal tidal influence, making it predictable for paddling. From this access point, you can explore the river upstream and downstream, with nearby recreational opportunities including the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge, known for waterfowl viewing. Be aware that the East Fork Lewis River is closed to boaters for three miles downstream from the Daybreak Regional Park launch, so confirm current regulations before heading out. Restroom facilities are available at the site.
