The Fox River at this location is a substantial waterway—a large river (Stream Order 7) with an average flow of approximately 2,350 cubic feet per second and moderate gradient of 2.4 feet per mile. Paddlers should expect a moderately flowing river suitable for kayaking and canoeing, though water conditions vary seasonally. The river eventually flows toward Green Bay, making this an excellent put-in point for paddlers exploring the lower Fox River corridor.
