The FM 3160 Bridge crossing provides access to the Guadalupe River approximately 5 miles north of Bergheim in the Boerne area. This is a **walk-down access point** rather than a developed boat ramp—paddlers and boaters must carry their vessels down a steep bank on the north side of the road right-of-way to reach the water. This access works best at normal to below-normal water levels.
This section of the Guadalupe offers a scenic paddling experience in the Hill Country, with the next downstream take-out approximately 1.6 miles away at Rio Guadalupe Resort on River Road. Plan accordingly for your trip duration and water conditions, and be prepared for a portage from your vehicle to the water's edge. Check current water levels before paddling, as access difficulty and river conditions can vary seasonally.
