Located in Princeton, Green Lake County, this access point on the Upper Fox River offers both a concrete boat ramp and sandy shoreline suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and other boaters. The site is managed by Charles Park District and includes seasonal restrooms, drinking water, shelters, and picnic areas, making it a well-equipped launch location for a day on the water.
The Fox River is a substantial waterway—a large river (stream order 7) with an average flow of approximately 2,347 cubic feet per second and moderate current (averaging 3.63 feet/second). Paddlers should be prepared for a moderately flowing river with a 2.4 ft/mile gradient. The historic lock system that once made the Fox River famous for hand-operated navigation is largely inoperable on the Upper Fox, though these structures remain part of the river's character. The site provides good opportunities for fishing and bird watching in addition to paddling.
