About This Access Site
The Little Rock Yacht Club provides easy access to the Arkansas River for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters. This boat ramp site is located along the banks of the Arkansas River in downtown Little Rock, near the River Market district and other downtown attractions.
The Arkansas River is a major waterway, flowing over 1,200 miles from the Rocky Mountains in Colorado to the Mississippi River. At this location, the river is classified as a 10th order stream, with an average flow of over 51,000 cubic feet per second and an average gradient of 7.9 feet per mile. Paddlers and boaters can expect a large, fast-moving river with a total drop of nearly 9,600 feet from source to mouth.
The yacht club site offers a boat ramp for easy launch and retrieval of small craft. Additional on-site amenities may include restrooms, showers, and picnic areas, making it a convenient access point for both short trips and day-long adventures on the Arkansas River.
