Located 24 miles northwest of Grants Pass near Merlin, Almeda Park offers a convenient boat ramp for accessing the Rogue River. The ramp is situated within a Josephine County-operated campground and day-use area, making it an ideal staging point for boaters, rafters, and kayakers heading downstream. A $5 day-use fee applies for ramp access, and the facility includes a parking area and picnic tables for day visitors.

The park provides both day-use and overnight camping options, with 39 tent sites, a group site accommodating up to 12 people, and a furnished yurt available for reservation. Amenities include vault restrooms, and a park host on-site can assist visitors.
