Located near Rivermile 68 on the Rogue River in Rand, Grave Creek is the official starting point for the Wild and Scenic portion of the Rogue River and the most popular put-in for multi-day paddling trips. The BLM-managed concrete ramp sits just downstream of the Galice Road bridge at the mouth of Grave Creek, making it easily accessible for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boats. This is the furthest downstream access point for longer Rogue River trips and works well for expeditions ranging from 2-3 days or longer.
The Grave Creek ramp is ideal for paddlers looking to explore both the easier recreation section above and the more challenging Wild and Scenic section below. Common shuttle options connect Grave Creek with other nearby ramps at Hog Creek, Indian Mary, Ennis, Argo, and Almeda, making it flexible for trips of varying length and difficulty. The area offers excellent access to the scenic Rogue River country, and nearby recreation includes the Galice-Hellgate Backcountry Byway and the Rainie Falls Trail.
