Lobster Creek offers convenient access to the lower Rogue River near Agness, featuring a well-established boat ramp located at the edge of a nearby campground. The ramp provides easy water entry with a short walk down to the river from the back of the campground area. This is a popular access point for boaters exploring the lower Rogue, with good fishing opportunities in the vicinity, including nearby Huntley Bar and Park.
Paddlers should be aware that Highway 101 traffic can be fairly busy during the day, including log truck traffic. If you're planning to paddle the Wild and Scenic section of the Rogue River upstream (between Grave Creek and Foster Bar), note that special-use float permits are required. The access point is managed in conjunction with nearby facilities, making it a straightforward launching spot for day trips or longer river explorations on this popular Oregon waterway.
